SALT LAKE COUNTY, Utah, Feb. 15, 2021 (Gephardt Daily) — The Salt Lake County Health Department has open appointments immediately available for any Salt Lake County residents who are 70 or older to get the COVID vaccine.

A news release from the health department says additional doses of the vaccine were provided to the department this week.

Seniors can schedule themselves online at SaltLakeHealth.org, or they can call 385-468-7468; the appointment phone line is staffed Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Saturday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., according to the news release.

Appointments are available at the Salt Palace at 100 S. West Temple (free parking is available at the garage entrance at 180 West 200 South) and at the Mountain America Expo Center at 9575 S. State St.

The goal is for everyone age 70-plus to get scheduled before the health department begins offering vaccine to people ages 65 to 69 (and who are 18 and older with the state’s qualifying underlying health conditions), the news release says.
