Candelight Vigil Planned for Missing Provo Woman
PROVO, UTAH – April 27, 2015 (Gephardt Daily) – A candlelight vigil is planned for Monday on behalf of a woman who went missing earlier this month.
The vigil for Elizabeth Laguna Salgado, who is known to some as Elena, will be held at Pioneer Park, 500 West Center Street in Provo, at 6 p.m. Monday.
Hundreds of volunteers gathered Saturday to look for Salgado, and Friday, Elizabeth and Ed Smart participated in a press conference to aid in search efforts.
According to investigators, Laguna-Salgado was last seen April 16 while leaving the Nomen Global School at 384 W. Center St. Since then police say she has not returned to her apartment, been back to work, or contacted family members.
Salgado is described as 5’4″ to 5’5″ inches tall, 120 to 130 lbs., with long black hair and brown eyes.
Detectives say she was last seen wearing a denim jacket, blue jeans with black or brown knee high boots. She was reportedly carrying a denim hand bag with red straps.
Anyone information regarding Delgado is asked to contact Detective Ringel at 801-852-7307 or the Provo Police Department at 801-852-6210.
