PROVO, Utah, Jan. 13, 2017 (Gephardt Daily) — Students have been released for the day from Timpview High School in Provo after a water line broke Friday.

Caleb Price, spokesman for the Provo City School District, said students were released at 10:50 a.m. and buses then picked them up at 11 a.m.

Price said students were released for safety reasons because the location of the break means water can’t get to the school to run the sprinkler system in the case of a fire.

Crews are working to fix the break. School is expected to resume on Wednesday, since Monday is Martin Luther King Jr. day, and Tuesday is Professional Development Day for teachers.
