WEST HAVEN, Utah, June 3, 2026 (Gephardt Daily) — Weber Fire District crews responded to a West Haven barn fire Wednesday afternoon, and knocked down flames from burning hay that was threatening farm equipment.

Crews ere dispatched at 2:20 p.m. to the area of 2900 W. 1800 South.

“Upon arrival, firefighters discovered a large pile of hay involved in fire and threatening a nearby barn, as well as several pieces of farm equipment,” the Weber Fire District statement says.

“Crews quickly initiated an aggressive direct attack and were able to stop the fire’s spread before it reached the barn and ignited the additional equipment.

“Firefighters remained on scene to fully extinguish the fire. Due to the nature of hay fires, heavy equipment is being utilized to separate and spread apart the hay while firefighters continue to apply water to remaining hot spots, and preventing rekindles.”
