WEST JORDAN, Utah, Oct. 30, 2018 (Gephardt Daily) — A little boy got a big surprise when West Jordan police officers stopped by at his birthday party — for all the right reasons.

A Facebook post from West Jordan Police Department said: “A few weeks back we had the opportunity to stop at one of our parks where a little boy’s birthday party was taking place.”

The little boy was dressed up as a police officer, complete with a hat and handcuffs, and officials took time to visit with him, hand out some hugs, and let him sit in a patrol car.

“One of a police officer’s greatest desires is to make a positive difference in someone’s life,” the Facebook post goes on. “We seek these opportunities as often as time allows. We spent some time teaching him and the rest of our community that we care. Thank you to our residents and those we serve. We aren’t perfect but we try to make a positive difference.”
