Dec. 7 (UPI) — Popular boy band BTS has the most-liked and retweeted posts of 2018 in its native South Korea.
Twitter Korea announced the news in posts this week after compiling data on different tweets from throughout the year.
BTS earned the most-liked tweet with its video in of J-Hope completing the “In My Feelings Challenge” in July. The post had received over 1.7 million likes as of Thursday morning.
Twitter Korea also confirmed BTS produced the “Golden Tweet of 2018,” or the most retweeted post of the year. The tweet, which shows Jungkook singing in February, was re-tweeted more than 641,000 times.
In addition, BTS ranked No. 1 on Twitter Korea’s list of Most-Tweeted About People. The group was followed by fellow boy bands EXO, GOT7, Wanna One and NCT 127.
BTS member Suga caused a stir Wednesday on Twitter when he appeared to tease a collaboration with British singer Ed Sheeran. He shared a photo of a music composition titled “ED SHEERN ST ROUGH.”
“hmm… this is for you @edsheeran #SUGA,” the K-pop star wrote.
BTS last released the album Love Yourself: Answer in August, and is promoting the album on its Love Yourself world tour. Jin thanked the group’s fans, known as Army, in a post on his 26th birthday this week.
