INDIANAPOLIS, July 7 (UPI) — Early Tuesday morning, police raided Subway spokesman Jared Fogle‘s Zionville home after the former director of the Jared Foundation was arrested on child pornography charges.

The Indianapolis Star is reporting investigators from the FBI, State Police and Postal Service were spotted outside of the 37-year-old’s home.

While FBI spokeswoman Wendy Osbourne did confirm that the agency was conducting an investigation, she would not say why. According to CNBC, a warrant had been issued as part of an ongoing investigation, and while Fogle was escorted from his home and his electronics removed, he was not placed into custody.

Subway on Tuesday released the following statement on Facebook regarding the search:

“We are shocked about the news and believe it is related to a prior investigation of a former Jared Foundation employee. We are very concerned and will be monitoring the situation closely. We don’t have any more details at this point.”

Then at around 4 p.m., Subway released a second statement: “Subway and Jared Fogle have mutually agreed to suspend their relationship due to the current investigation. Jared continues to cooperate with authorities and he expects no actions to be forthcoming. Both Jared and Subway agree that this was the appropriate step to take.”

Russell Taylor, the former director of the Jared Foundation, was arrested in April after being found in possession of child pornography. After Taylor’s arrest, Fogle announced his foundation would be severing all ties with Taylor and the news had come as a shock.
