The family of 13-year-old Cayman Naib, made the announcement on Facebook.
A search for the teen had drawn hundreds of volunteers on foot and online. According to Philadelphia TV station WCAU, the Greater Philadelphia Search and Rescue team found teen’s snow-covered body on the family’s 17-acre property. Naib’s body was taken to the Delaware County Medical Examiner who is working to determine the cause of death.
Naib went missing Wednesday night after leaving his Newtown Square home without his phone. Becky Naib, the teen’s mother, reportedly said her son had been under pressure recently to get his schoolwork done. She said the teen may have feared having to admit he was struggling with his assignments.
After he went missing, the family set up a “Find Cayman” Facebook page. They said there will be no more posts while the investigation continues.
