Summoning Up A Virus
Here’s the scenario: you open up your email Inbox to find an email marked “Urgent Court Notice,” or something along those lines. You open it up to discover that you’ve been summoned to court.
The summons provides a date, a time, and a location, but you don’t know why you’ve been summoned. But there are instructions to download the attachment to find out more.

But you won’t be the one who finds out more, because you’re downloading malicious malware that will immediately infect your computer.
If you get one of these emails, don’t open it. Delete it immediately.
Remember these tips:
1. The court system doesn’t contact you by email. They will use traditional mail, or in the case of a summons, send someone to your door to deliver it to you.
2. An email emphasizing a sense of urgency is most likely being sent by someone who wants you to open it before you think it through.
3. If you get anything that says it is from the court system, contact the courts by phone.
Be careful when downloading anything from a source that can’t be verified.
