Thousands of women, supporters attend anti-Trump rally at Sundance Film Festival

PARK CITY, Utah, Jan. 21, 2017 (Gephardt Daily) — It was cold and blustery in Park City on Saturday, but that did little to deter thousands of Utah women and their supporters from turning up the heat on newly elected President Donald Trump.

In a spirited rally held on the opening weekend of the Sundance Film Festival, women from across the state joined voices with those in other cities to air their concerns over an administration they believe is bound and determined to roll back the clock on women’s rights and other gender-equality issues.

Erin Collard — the better half of the Salt Lake City radio team Todd and Erin — attended Saturday’s demonstration, which not only ended peacefully, but left those who participated with a renewed sense of purpose and determination to make their voices heard.

  1. I’m so proud to have witnessed an event where there was no violence, no ugliness. There were many differing opinions about what the Woman’s March was about- and I’m sure the meaning is personal to everyone. But I loved the fact that so many people took the time to LISTEN to the fears and opinions of others, even if they didn’t always agree. Bravo!
