Wife Denies UFC Report of Fighter Corey Hill’s Death
LAS VEGAS, May 15 (UPI) — According the multiple reports, including one from the Ultimate Fighting Championship, fighter Corey Hill died Thursday. But that news is false, according to his wife.
Lauran Hill says Corey is “resting and still alive,” according to TMZ Sports. “My husband is a strong fighter. Please everyone pray for him.”
The UFC issued a statement that Hill had died Thursday at age 36.
In an interview with Yahoo! Sports, Pat Miletich, a former UFC champion, said Hill had died of pneumonia complications.
A nurse at Tampa General Hospital told MMAFighting.com Thursday that “any reports of Hill’s death were false and the family of the ex-UFC fighter was requesting privacy at this difficult time.”
