Body of missing person found at Grand Canyon Nat’l Park

GRAND CANYON NATIONAL PARK, Ariz., May 12, 2026 (Gephardt Daily) — Grand Canyon National Park announced Tuesday that the body of missing tourist Sandarsh Krishna was recovered on Saturday.

Krishna, 26, had been reported missing on April 28. His body was recovered by National Park Service personnel below the rim near Verkamp’s Visitor Center on the South Rim of Grand Canyon National Park.

The remains were taken to the Coconino County (Ariz.) Medical Examiner’s Office. The incident remains under investigation by the National Park Service and the Coconino County Medical Examiner’s Office.
