School Staff Apprehend ‘Active Shooter’ at Washington State High School
OLYMPIA, WASHINGTON – April 27, 2105 (Gephardt Daily) – On Monday morning, an active shooter incident was reported at the North Thurston High School in Olympia, Washington. According to a tweet posted by the school, the shooter was apprehended by staff members and no one was hurt in the process.
A popular teacher at the high school is being credited with stopping the shooter.
Brady Olson apparently stepped in and apprehended the suspect before any students were injured. Lacey Police confirmed to KCPQ the shooter is in custody and no one was injured.
School district spokesperson Courtney Schrieve confirmed Olson was responsible for helping apprehend the suspect.
