NEW YORK, Feb. 5 (UPI) — One person was killed and another seriously injured when a massive construction crane collapsed on a busy New York City street.
The crane collapsed on Worth Street near Church Street at about 8:25 a.m. in front of Weill Cornell Medical Associates building in lower Manhattan.
Investigators were also trying to determine if an attached wrecking ball snapped off the structure and fell through the roof of a nearby building.
