Man Shot In Head In Busy Downtown Ogden

OGDEN, UTAH – June 3, 2015 (Gephardt Daily) – Police in Ogden say a man is in critical condition after being shot in the head Wednesday afternoon at a busy downtown intersection.

According to Ogden PD’s Lt. Danielle Croyle, the victim was a riding in a black Chevy Impala near 12th Street and Washington Boulevard shortly after noon when someone began shooting.

When officers arrived they found the wounded man walking outside the car which had come to a stop near the Wendy’s restaurant at 1150 Washington Boulevard.

The wounded man was taken by ambulance to McKay Dee Hospital. Police say his condition did not appear to be life threatening.

Witnesses told investigators they heard shots being fired but did not see a gunman. Detectives are trying to determine if the shots came from another vehicle.

Investigators say the incident could be gang related or the result of road rage.
