Police Looking for Man who Committed Two Armed Robberies in Same Day

BOUNTIFUL, UTAH – September 5, 2015 (Gephardt Daily) Bountiful Police Officers are asking for the public’s help in identifying a suspect in an armed robbery of two individuals and a local convenience store Saturday morning.

According to detectives, a male subject entered a garage on Monarch Drive in Bountiful around 6:25 a.m. that was occupied by two males, the homeowner and his father.

“The men were in the process of remodeling the home when this suspect pulled out a handgun and ordered the men to lie down on the floor,” said Detective Troy Killian of Bountiful Police Department. “The subject placed the handgun against the head of one of the victims and demanded he give him his money and wallet. A struggle ensued and the subject fled the residence.”

Detective Killian said approximately 20 minutes later the same subject then entered a Maverik Convenience store, located at 105 S. 200 West, also in Bountiful and robbed the clerk with a handgun. It is unclear if the suspect was able to get away with anything from the store.

The suspect is described as being dark complected, 5’10” – 6’ tall, weighing 220 – 240 lbs. He was wearing a white zippered fleece hoodie.
