ELLISVILLE, Miss., March 30 (UPI) — Authorities in Mississippi said a family dog went out wandering and brought home a mysterious gift — a bag filled with marijuana.
The Jones County Sheriff’s Office said investigators with the narcotics division were dispatched Saturday to an Ellisville home on a report of an unusual drug discovery.
The homeowner told investigators his dog had come home from wandering the neighborhood with a plastic bag that initially appeared to be garbage.
Investigators said the bag contained about a pound of marijuana.
The sheriff’s office said detectives are working to determine the origin of the bag.
