March 28 (UPI) — A young girl endeared herself to both man and machine by hugging a water heater she believed was a robot.
The video shared to YouTube by marxj1 showed the friendly child, named Rayna, happily greeting the robot while waving her hand excitedly.
“Hi robot!” Rayna repeatedly said to the silent and unmoving water heater.
The curious young girl stared intently at the “robot” for a few seconds before moving closer to embrace her newfound friend while patting it on its side.
“I love you robot,” she said.
After expressing her affection for her robot pal, Rayna quickly turned her attention to a fallen leaf on the ground nearby.
