SEOUL, South Korea, April 15, 2017 (Gephardt Daily) — North Korea failed at an attempted missile launch Sunday, according to the South Korean defense ministry.

The attempted launch is the latest act of brinksmanship in the Korean Peninsula where tensions continue to rise over Pyongyang’s rapidly developing nuclear weapons program.

North Korea’s actions come 24 hours after Pyongyang showcased its newest weaponry — including a new line of intercontinental ballistic missiles — during a massive military parade attended by dictator Kim Jong Un.
Last week, Donald Trump ordered the aircraft carrier USS Carl Vinson into the region in response to previous missile tests. Trump is on record as saying if China can’t stop North Korea’s nuclear program, the United States will go it alone.
