Sept. 19 (UPI) — Billy Bush‘s publicist says the former “Today” co-host and his wife, Sydney Davis, have separated.

“After almost 20 years of marriage, they have separated for the moment to evaluate their life together,” Bush’s representative said in a statement to People magazine Tuesday. “They love each other and their children deeply and are committed to a bright future.”

“I can confirm they are now separated and on a short-term break,” Bush’s lawyer, Marshall Grossman, said in his own remarks to The New York Post.

Grossman denied speculation that the breakup is due to infidelity, but declined to offer any details.

NBC fired Bush from “Today” last year after an “Access Hollywood” recording of a 2005 conversation between Bush and Donald Trump came to light. The pair can be heard making insulting remarks about women on the tape, which was leaked during Trump’s campaign for the U.S. presidency.
