Meet The Super-Hero Librarians

Have you ever thought of librarians as super-heroes? The new TNT series The Librarians may influence your thinking. In the show, a group sets off on adventures in an effort to save mysterious, ancient artifacts. The show centers on an ancient organization hidden beneath Gotham’s Metropolitan Public Library, dedicated to protecting an unknowing world from the secret, magical reality hidden around them.

rebeccaThe ten-episode weekly series version of film trilogy The Librarian follows the original cast that includes Noah Wyle, Bob Newhart and Jane Curtin, as well as four new characters who work for The Library. John Rogers adapted the show from David Titchner’s screenplays.

The new characters include Eve Baird (Rebecca Romijn), who is a counter-terrorism agent who protects the group. She’s a tough-as-nails soldier and a brilliant tactical mind. Now, she must put her military background to use as the Library’s Guardian, charged with protecting the new recruits as they set out on their harrowing adventures.
