OGDEN, Utah, Dec. 4, 2017 (Gephardt Daily) — Children were evacuated from Mound Fort Middle School in Ogden Monday morning after a fire broke out in a bathroom.
The fire at the school, at 1396 Liberty Ave., was first reported at approximately 11:30 a.m., Ogden Fire Department officials said in a tweet, and students were evacuated to the adjacent Gramercy Elementary School.
The fire was quickly extinguished and crews are now ventilating the structure.
There were no injuries as a result of the fire.
Officials have estimated damage at $3,000.
The incident is under investigation by the State Fire Marshal’s office, officials said, and the cause is undetermined at this time.
