SALT LAKE CITY, Utah, April 18, 2018 (Gephardt Daily) — Police are searching for two suspects after shots were fired at a Salt Lake City residence early Wednesday morning.

Salt Lake City Police Department Lt. Dave Cracroft told Gephardt Daily the incident occurred in the area of 400 E. 600 South just before 12:10 a.m.

Officials received a call of an argument and shots fired, Cracroft said.

Witnesses stated two male suspects, possibly Hispanic or Polynesian, walked up to a house and one of the suspects approached the door. Witnesses then heard yelling and two gunshots before a vehicle left the scene, Cracroft said.

A short time later the vehicle returned and fired more shots, striking the house and the car in front. Approximately 12 shell casings were located.

No one was injured in the course of the incident.

The residents in the house stated that they did not hear any gunshots, but noticed a broken window. Cracroft added the residents are not being forthcoming with further information.

The suspect vehicle is described as an older, dark-colored Honda, “with a bad paint job,” Cracroft said.
