String of Utah Robberies Continues

SLC Police Badge WorkingSALT LAKE CITY, UTAH – July 1, 2015 (Gepahrdt Daily) – The string of robberies in the Salt Lake area continues.

The SLCPD stated that on Tuesday June 30, around 12:25 p.m. a Hispanic male entered Smith’s Marketplace, 455 S. 500 East, and approached a clerk that was at the counter and demanded money.

As the clerk opened the cash register drawer, the suspect grabbed for the money.

The suspect was last seen exiting the east doors of the store.

The suspect is described as a male Hispanic, approximately 20 years old with a light complexion and dark hair. He was wearing a black baseball hat with a gray long sleeved t-shirt and dark shorts.

This morning at about 4:20 a.m. three males entered the 7-Eleven at 490 N. Redwood Road. One of the three males was armed with a weapon and demanded money from the clerk. The other two suspects went to the beer cooler and took several cases of beer. All suspects fled eastbound on foot towards 500 North.

Suspect number one was described as a Hispanic male 17-20 years old; approximately five feet and four inches tall with a slim build. He was wearing a black Nike logo hoodie with khaki shorts and white shoes.

Suspect number two was also a Hispanic male, 16-19 years of age, five feet and four inches, with a slim build. He was wearing a green t-shirt with Levi shorts and a black bandana with a white pattern on it.

The third suspect has been described as a male Hispanic; 17-20 years old, five feet and seven inches with a slim build. He was wearing a white t-shirt and blue Levis with a dark colored NY baseball hat.
