Taylorsville Celebrates 19 years with Taylorsville Dayzz Events

TAYLORSVILLE, UTAH – June 22, 2015 (Gephardt Daily) – A 19-year-old Utah city will be celebrating this weekend. On July 1, 1996 Taylorsville officially became a city after 70 percent of residents voted to incorporate. This year residents will celebrate with three days of events which will include a parade, carnival, amazing entertainment and fireworks at Taylorsville Dayzz on June 25, 26, and 27 at Valley Regional Park located at 5100 S. and 2700 West in Taylorsville, Utah.

Saturday there will be a Bennion Lions Club Breakfast at the Taylorsville Harmons Parking Lot, 5454 S. Redwood Road, from 7 a.m. to 11 a.m. The breakfast costs $4 for adults and $3 for children. The Taylorsville Dayzz 5K Run/Walk starts at 7 a.m. with the kids race at 7:45 a.m. Registration is available on-line at www.taylorsvilleut.gov

The parade will go from 1900 W. and 5400 South to 2700 W. and then continue North on 2700 W. to about 4800 South, starting at 9 a.m. The carnival rides, petting zoo, pony rides, all-day entertainment on two stages, the car show, burnout and craft and food booths will begin at 11 a.m. and continue all day at Valley Regional Park.

The Elvis and Friends Tribute, a Las Vegas style Legends show featuring Elvis, Dolly, Gath and Cher will begin on the main stage at Valley Regional Park at 7 p.m. The concert is free to the public, with no tickets required.

There will be sky divers at 8:20 p.m. and fireworks at 10 p.m.
