City to Host ‘Yappy Hour’ and ‘Cruise Nights’ in Pioneer Park

SALT LAKE CITY, UTAH – June 19, 2015 (Gephardt Daily) – The City’s Parks and Public Lands Division invites the public and their four-footed-friends to unwind after a long day at work for “Yappy Hour” and “Cruise Nights” on Monday, June 22 from 5-8 p.m. at Pioneer Park, 350 S. 300 West.

Both events feature an evening of live music, delicious food and refreshing drinks at Pioneer Park for residents to enjoy while relaxing with their canine family members and checking out an incredible selection of local vintage hot rods.

Salt Lake City Parks & Public Lands is hosting this festive and free evening with “Yappy Hour” sponsors from Millcreek FIDOS, Salt Lake County Animal Services, Best Friends Animal Society, Barley’s Canine Recreation Center, Paw Tree, Paw Paws Dog Wash and Boutique, Dirty Johnson’s Dog Wash, Grooming, Pet Sitting, and The Dog’s Meow. “Cruise Nights” is sponsored by Rockin’ Hot Rod Productions.

An off-leash area in the north side of the park will be available for canine friends to stretch their legs. Vintage hot rods will be shown in the south end of the park. Live music will be provided by Utah’s own The Nathan Spenser Revue. Residents are invited to come on down with their pups, friends and family to enjoy a night of fun in the park!

Food will be available for purchase from the Chow Truck, Braza Bowlz, and Kona Ice. Alcohol will not be available for purchase at this event, but will be available at the subsequent events in July and September. Outside food, alcohol and coolers are prohibited.

Future events this summer for “Yappy Hour” and “Cruise Nights” are Monday, July 13 in Liberty Park and Thursday, September 10 in Pioneer Park. “Cruise Nights” will have an additional event on Monday, August 10 in Pioneer Park.
