Man dies in crash with bus on SR-91 in Cache County

LOGAN, Utah, Sept. 4, 2017 (Gephardt Daily) — A man died Monday morning when his vehicle was struck by a bus on State Road 91 in Cache County.

According to a Department of Public Safety news release, at 9:51 a.m. Utah Highway Patrol troopers responded to the crash on SR-91 at the intersection of State Road 23 (milepost 17).

A 2012 tour bus, operated by Arrow Stage Lines, was northbound on SR-91 in the outside of two lanes, approaching the intersection of SR-23.

A 1992 Jeep Wrangler driven by Ty Hall, 21, from Hyrum, pulled out from the east side of the road in front of the bus and was struck in the passenger door area by the front of the bus, the release states.

Hall was not wearing a seat belt and was killed.

The driver of the bus suffered an arm injury, but none of the passengers on the bus were injured.

Both southbound lanes of SR-91 were closed until about noon.
