VIDEO: Pick-Up Truck Plows Through Wall Of Salt Lake City Hair Salon
SALT LAKE CITY, UTAH – June 28, 2015 (Gephardt Daily) –
A man is in guarded condition after smashing his pick-up truck through the wall of a Salt Lake City hair salon Sunday afternoon.
According Unified Police Detective Jared Richardson, the driver of the pick-up was turning onto Highland Drive from 6060 South around 12:15 p.m. when he suddenly lost control of the vehicle and veered across several lanes of traffic before slamming into the side of the salon.
Richardson said it was lucky no one was inside the Hair Port Salon at 6098 Highland Drive at the time of the accident. He said had it happened during the week, the outcome could have been much worse.
Rescuers had to cut the driver out of the pick-up before rushing him to the hospital. His identity has yet to be released.
The cause of the crash is still being investigated.
