HOLLYWOOD, CALIFORNIA – November 9, 2015 (Gephardt Daily) — Keanu Reeves is returning as John Wick in “John Wick 2,” the sequel to the 2014 film “John Wick.”
‘Deadline.com‘ reported, Reeves will be joined by original cast members John Leguizamo, Bridget Moynahan, Tom Sadowski and Lance Reddick.
The film turned out to be quite a career boost for Keanu Reeves, who plays the assassin who goes on a rampage for the brutal murder of his puppy, a gift from his late wife.
The “John Wick 2” cast has been building quickly since the sequel was announced.
According to ‘Deadline,’ joining the cast are Common, as the main bad guy and “Orange is the New Black’s” Ruby Rose, Peter Stormare of “Fargo” and Riccardo Scamarcio.
Currently, the sequel is slated to be released some time in 2016, with screenwriter Derek Kolstad returning once again to write, and if it’s as purely entertaining as the first one, there’s major franchise possibilities here.
