LEHI, Utah, Nov. 30, 2019 (Gephardt Daily) — Southbound Interstate 15 near mile marker 282 was reopened at about 8 p.m. Saturday, and the northbound lanes were opened a short while later.

Evacuations have been lifted, and area residents are back in their homes.

I-15 traffic was closed in both directions at Lehi after a tanker carrying butane, which is highly flammable, rolled over at about 10:24 a.m. Saturday.

The Department of Public Safety reported at the time that a semi with doubles, transporting butane, had overturned, and one of the tanks was leaking.

Crews spent about 10 hours cleaning up the area and making sure the highway was safe for traffic which is now flowing in both directions.
