UTAH, Sept. 9, 2020 (Gephardt Daily) — The Utah Department of Health has reported three more COVID-19 deaths and 314 new lab-confirmed cases in the past 24 hours.
The Utahns who died were:
- A male, between 65-84, Salt Lake County resident, long-term care facility resident
- A male, between 65-84, Salt Lake County resident, hospitalized prior to death
- A female, older than 85, Washington County resident, hospitalized at time of death
With the 314 new cases, Utah has documented 55,673 cases of the virus.
Utah has performed 698,541 coronavirus tests, an increase of 3,194 since yesterday.
The rolling seven-day average for positive tests is 404 per day. The rolling seven-day average for percent of positive laboratory tests is 9.1%.
Currently, 116 Utahns are hospitalized with COVID-19. Total hospitalizations from the beginning of the outbreak are 3,263.
Patients categorized as recovered, defined as still living three weeks after diagnosis, number 47,084. It is common for COVID-19 patients to die more than three weeks after diagnosis.
