Utah COVID-19 update: 1 more death, 313 new cases confirmed in past day

UTAH, June 10, 2021 (Gephardt Daily) — The Utah Department of Health on Thursday reported one more COVID-19 death confirmed and 313 new cases in the past day.

Coronavirus cases documented in Utah since the beginning of the pandemic now stand at 408,741.

Deaths number 2,319.

The person whose death was newly documented is a man, between 45-64, a Davis County resident who was hospitalized at time of death.

Vaccinations administered number 2,676,026, an increase of 9,182 since Tuesday.

Lab tests have been given to 2,728,178 people in Utah. That’s an increase of 4,171 since Wednesday. Tests administered number 4,989,045, an increase of 7,261 in the past day.

The rolling seven-day average for positive tests is 275 per day.

The rolling seven-day average for percent positivity of “people over people” is 6.6%. The rolling seven-day average for percent positivity of “tests over tests” is 4.3%.

There are 155 people currently hospitalized with COVID-19. Total hospitalizations from the beginning of the outbreak are 17,038.
