SALT LAKE CITY, Utah, July 29, 2021 (Gephardt Daily) — The 11th annual Utah Beer Festival will take place at the Gateway this August after a hiatus in 2020.
The festival will be held on Saturday, Aug. 21 and Sunday, Aug. 22, said a news release from The Gateway, which is at 200 S. 400 West.
Utah’s largest beer sampling event features over 200 beers and ciders from local, regional and international breweries and cider houses, said the news release.
“We’re excited for the Utah Beer Festival to return in 2021,” said Festival Director Pete Saltas. “It’s a great community event that’s become a city staple every August. The Utah Beer Festival is an opportunity for the state’s beer drinkers to enjoy and sample a variety of the states’ award-winning brews. We’re excited to work with The Gateway and revitalizing downtown.”
The Utah Beer Festival began in 2010 with 10 participating breweries. This year there are more than 50 breweries attending, including most of Utah’s 30-plus breweries. Some 10,000 people are expected to attend.
This is an open-air, all-ages event, though to drink alcoholic beverages, you need to be ID’d and purchase separately.
The 2021 Utah Beer Festival recommends mask usage and will follow local government COVID-19 rules and restrictions
