WEST JORDAN, Utah, October 10, 2021 (Gephardt Daily) — A 22-year-old West Valley man was killed early Sunday morning when a car slammed into a tree in West Jordan.
It happened on South Grizzly way, at the intersection of Big Spring Drive at about 1:50 a.m., according to West Jordan police.
Investigators say the man was heading south when he lost control of the blue Mitsubishi sedan and slid sideways into the tree.
The car hit with enough force to severely damage the driver’s side.
The victim, the only person in the car, was pronounced dead at the scene.
Police say speed may have been a factor in the crash but it is still too early in the investigation to know for sure.
Crash scene investigators remained on scene as of 5:15 a.m.
