That price cut for Microsoft’s Xbox One is sticking around for a while longer.

The company announced it will cut the price of the video game console to $349, days after a similar promotion ended during the holidays offering the device at a lower price.

In a statement released Thursday, Microsoft bills the price cut as part of a “promotion,” so it’s not clear whether this is a temporary drop in price or permanent. The $349 price was in effect starting Friday.

The new promotion follows a holiday push in the U.S. where Microsoft slashed the price of Xbox One to compete with console frontrunner PlayStation 4 from Sony. It’s worked so far. The Xbox One outsold the PS4 in the U.S. during November and December, says research firm NPD Group.

However, PS4 remains the global leader. Sales of the console topped 18.5 million worldwide as of January 4, Sony revealed earlier this month.
