San Diego Comic-Con Sells Out Faster Than A Speeding Bullet
Comic-Con International: San Diego has become more synonymous with waiting in long lines and being packed with people than even Disneyland. But all previous records were shattered Saturday morning when ticket badges sold out in less than an hour.

In 2013, server errors and site crashes caused a major uproar among fans who were unable to purchase tickets online due to these technical errors. A new sales policy aimed at preventing a repeat of such issues is now in its second year. The system allows attendees who already registered with a Comic-Con ID to be chosen at random to purchase tickets to the convention before tickets go on sale.
Each year, Comic-Con attracts upwards of 130,000 people who descend upon downtown San Diego. This year’s event is scheduled for July 8-12. The show is committed to stay in San Diego through 2016, but the idea of moving to a larger venue such as Anaheim or Las Vegas have been being discussed for some time now. The San Diego Tourism Authority is working to lock down a two-year extension with Comic-Con International.
