HOLLYWOOD – November 24, 2015 — (Gephardt Daily) — The trailer for “The Big Short,” starring Christian Bale and Brad Pitt, has been released.
The film is scripted from Michael Lewis’s book as four outsiders in the world of high finance, who predicted the credit and housing bubble collapse of the mid-2000s, decide to take on the big banks for their greed and lack of foresight.
Along with Brad Pitt, Christian Bale, the film stars Steve Carrell and Ryan Gosling. Also in the cast are Marisa Tomei, Melissa Leo, Hamis Linklater, John Magaro, Rafe Spall, Jeremy Strong and Finn Wittrock.
“I’m angry,” Pitt told People at the film’s New York premiere. “I’m angry that so many people lost their homes. Families were put on the street, they lost their life savings, and yet no one was held accountable. No senior official was held accountable. That’s amazing.”
“The Big Short” debuted at AFI Fest this month, and opens in theaters Dec. 11.
