NEW YORK, Nov. 17 (UPI) — “Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them” star Eddie Redmayne told Andy Cohen on Wednesday’s “Watch What Happens Live” that, despite the rumors, he and Taylor Swift never dated.
“I never went out on a date with Taylor Swift,” Redmayne said, matter-of-factly.
Redmayne said he did meet Swift when she auditioned for a role in 2012’s “Les Misérables.”
“She was amazing in the audition,” he said. “We got to sing together, which was a big moment for me. But, no, we never went out.”
Redmayne stars as Newt Scamander in “Harry Potter” author J.K. Rowling‘s Wizarding World story “Fantastic Beasts,” which premieres in theaters on Friday.
