LOS ANGELES, July 22 (UPI) — Actor and comedian Jay Mohr has filed for divorce from his wife, actress Nikki Cox, after nine years of marriage.
People reported that Mohr cited irreconcilable differences in divorce papers filed on Tuesday, which the magazine obtained.
Mohr denied the report in a statement to People saying that he and Cox remain married.
“We are very married, very in love and that’s really all there is,” he said.
The couple were married on Dec. 29, 2006, and Mohr petitioned the Los Angeles court to have Cox’s last name included in his legal name in 2008.
The couple have a 5-year-old son. The divorce filing includes a prenuptial agreement regarding the terms of spousal support.
