LOS ANGELES, March 7 (UPI) — Talk-show host Jimmy Kimmel announced Monday he will preside over the 68th Primetime Emmy Awards ceremony honoring excellence in television.
“I am hosting the #Emmys on Sunday Sept 18. Until then, have a great summer,” Kimmel tweeted.
“Jimmy Kimmel is the consummate showman,” Channing Dungey, president of ABC Entertainment, said in a statement. “With Kimmel at the helm, expect to be at the edge of your seat for a bigger, bolder, and better-than-ever Emmy event.”
“I am excited to be hosting the Emmys again. I have a feeling I’m going to be great,” added Kimmel
