LOS ANGELES, May 25 (UPI) — John Stamos says he is “heartbroken” his former Full House co-stars Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen won’t be appearing in Netflix’s upcoming sitcom sequel Fuller House.

“#heartbroken,” Stamos tweeted Friday night. “I understand they’re in a different place and I wish them the best. I promise you will not be dissapointed with our reunion and spin off!!”

The Olsen twins — who are now 28 — interchangeably played the Tanner family’s youngest member, Michelle, on Full House from 1987 until the show ended in 1995.

Set to premiere next year, Fuller House will feature many of the original show’s cast members including Stamos, Dave Coulier, Candace Cameron-Bure, Jodie Sweetin and Andrea Barber.
