Nov. 20 (UPI) — Katy Perry has topped Forbes’ annual list of the highest paid women in music for 2018 ahead of peers Taylor Swift and Beyonce.
Perry reached No. 1 on the list, released Monday, by earning $83 million before taxes from June 1, 2017 to June 1, 2018.
Perry performed 80 shows as part of her Witness tour and served as a judge on ABC’s reboot of American Idol. The pop star will be returning to the judges table for Season 17.
Swift is right behind Perry in second place with $80 million following the release of her sixth studio album Reputation which sold two million copies worldwide in its first week and its accompanying chart-topping stadium tour.
Beyonce comes in third place having earned $60 million. The singer, who reached the top spot in 2017, released a joint album with her husband Jay-Z in June followed by the couple launching the On the Run II tour.
The rest of the Top 10 included, in order, Pink with $52 million, Lady Gaga with $50 million, Jennifer Lopez with $47 million, Rihanna with $37.5 million, Helene Fischer with $32 million, Celine Dion with $31 million and Britney Spears with $30 million.
