NAPLES, Fla., Sept. 15 (UPI) — Kim McGuire, famous for her role as Mona ‘Hatchet-Face’ Malnorowski in “Cry-Baby” with Johnny Depp has died at 60 following a bout of pneumonia.

McGuire’s husband Gene Piotrowsky told TMZ that McGuire had been sick and was taken to a hospital in Naples where it was discovered that she had pneumonia. Piotrowsky said McGuire didn’t respond well to treatment and went into cardiac arrest twice.

McGuire is best known for her role as Hatchet-Face in John Waters‘ 1990 film starring Johnny Depp as eponymous character, Cry-Baby. She acted in a few more productions before she retired to pursue a career as a lawyer.

McGuire and husband Piotrowsky relocated to Naples, Fla. following the devastation of Hurricane Katrina in 2005 which leveled their Biloxi home.

A friend of the family has set up a GoFundMe account on behalf of Piotrowsky.
