LOS ANGELES, Nov. 15 (UPI) — Lin-Manuel Miranda revealed on Marc Maron’s ‘WTF’ podcast that his high school bully was the political rapper and activist Immortal Technique.

“He was our school bully,” Miranda said. “He terrorized kids, the threw them in the garbage. I got thrown in the garbage by him.”

Miranda has only good things to say about Immortal Technique, whose real name is Felipe Andres Coronel, these days.

“He’s one of the most political, ideological [rappers], he really made an incredible life for himself as a rapper,” he said. “He was a really angry kid and it’s been wonderful to watch him grow up and find a political outlet for that anger.”

Miranda is currently promoting the Disney film “Moana,” for which he composed the music, and the “Hamilton Mixtape” album which features star-studded covers of songs from Miranda’s Broadway smash, “Hamilton.”
