NEW YORK, June 25 (UPI) — Madame Tussauds New York unveiled its revamped lobby Thursday and introduced its new, high-flying, life-like sculpture of pop music icon Pink.

The wax figure inspired by the artist is seen soaring, 25 feet in the air, suspended on silk ropes since Pink is known for her heart-stopping, aerial acrobatics at awards shows and concerts. The statue is also dressed in Pink’s signature, sheer, black-lace leotard and sports her classic, platinum, punky hairstyle and numerous tattoos.

“We are thrilled to welcome Pink to Madame Tussauds New York. Her figure adds an exciting new dynamic to our freshly remodeled lobby,” Bret Pidgeon, general manager of Madame Tussauds New York, said in a statement. “Pink flying from the ceiling, in addition to an impactful, new light and sound package really create a concert feel in our 42nd Street lobby.”

The nine-story museum’s renovation was completed in time for its upcoming 15th anniversary this fall.
