TAYLORSVILLE, Utah, Sept. 30, 2019 (Gephardt Daily) — One person is dead after a single-vehicle crash on northbound Interstate 215 in Taylorsville Monday afternoon.

“At 12:05 p.m., a Honda Accord was traveling on I-215 at 4900 South,” said a news release from the Utah Highway Patrol. “The vehicle drove off the right shoulder of the freeway and grazed the barrier, it traveled across all four lanes of traffic and struck the median barrier.”

The driver, who was the only occupant of the car, died as a result of the crash. The driver was not wearing a seat belt.

Officials have not said if the driver was male or female and have not identified that person pending notification of family.
