15-year-old boy injured after auto-pedestrian accident with Provo patrol car

PROVO, Utah, Sept. 27, 2018 (Gephardt Daily) — A 15-year-old boy suffered serious injuries to his leg after he was involved in an auto-pedestrian accident with a Provo Police Department officer in his patrol car.

A Facebook post from Provo Police Department said the incident occurred at 200 E. 300 South at 6:13 p.m.

“The boy was transported to the hospital with serious injuries to his leg,” the post said. “His injuries did not appear life threatening, but he is receiving emergency care now.”

The Utah Highway Patrol is handling the investigation.

Provo Police have not yet released further details of the incident.
