OGDEN, Utah, May 12, 2019 (Gephardt Daily) — A 16-year-old girl was transported to the hospital Saturday night after she was struck by a vehicle while riding a scooter on Wall Avenue.

Police were dispatched at 9:42 p.m. to 31st Street and Wall Avenue on a report of an auto-pedestrian crash.

Lt. Tyler Ziegler, Ogden Police Department, told Gephardt Daily the teen was northbound on Wall, riding what he believed was one of the new Lime scooters recently introduced in Ogden, when she was hit by an eastbound vehicle.

The girl’s injuries were minor, Ziegler said.

The vehicle did not stop after striking the teen, and the only information police have is that it may have been a gray SUV.

Anyone who witnessed the accident is asked to call Ogden Police Dispatch at 801-629-8221.
