HOOPER, Utah, Dec. 16, 2018 (Gephardt Daily) — An 18-year-old man is facing charges in Weber County, including first-degree felony rape of a child, after he was allegedly found undressed with a 14-year-old girl in a car.

In addition to the child rape charge, Robert Nathaniel Alvizo is charged with first-degree felony sodomy on a child and third-degree felony unlawful sexual activity with a minor, according to a probable cause statement released by the 2nd District Court in Ogden.

The statement said that Weber County Sheriff’s Office responded Thursday to a report of a suspicious vehicle in Hooper. Upon arriving at the scene, a deputy allegedly saw a man, later identified as Alvizo, in a 2004 gray Honda Civic with a teenage girl.

The statement said that Alvizo “was in a state of undress” and the girl said she had performed a sex act on him, and also admitted to deputies on scene that the two had engaged in sexual activities on other occasions.

Alvizo was transported to Weber County Sheriff’s Office and read his Miranda rights. He stated he understood his rights and agreed to answer questions.

“Through the course of the interview, Robert admitted to three incidents of sexual activity with the victim that took place from October 2018 to December 2018,” the statement said.

Alvizo said he was 18 years old at the time of the first and second incident and the victim was 13 years old; she was 14 at the time of the third incident.

He is being held without bail.
