Pitbull announces Utah stop on upcoming tour

WEST VALLEY CITY, Utah, April 23, 2024 (Gephardt Daily) — Rapper and pop artist Pitbull is coming to Utah.

On Tuesday, the Cuban American artist announced his Party After Dark tour, with more than 25 stops planned, including one at the Utah First Credit Union Amphitheater. That stop is on Sept. 25, a Wednesday.

Pitbull, AKA Armando Christian Pérez, is well known for his high-energy party anthems, including “Give Me Everything” and “Timber,” and for the energy and playfulness that infuse his art.

His commercial breakthrough came with the 2009 dance song “I Know You Want Me (Calle Ocho).”

Pitbull, who won a 2016 Grammy for Latin Rock or Alternative Album, is also a motivational speaker, a businessman, the co-owner NASCAR racing team Trackhouse, and co-founded SLAM!, tuition-free charter schools.

Pitbull’s recent musical releases include “Trackhouse” and “Trackhouse: Daytona 500 Edition.” The tracks feature special guests Dolly Parton, Tim McGraw, Nile Rodgers, T-Pain, Omar Courtz and more.

T-Pain will be joining Pitbull on the upcoming tour, which begins in Virginia in August and concludes in New Mexico in October.
